Current Campaigns
Arms Trade Campaign
Working to abolish the deadly trade in weapons at home and abroad.
Our current focus is on passing an Arms Trade Code of Conduct that
would
prohibit the sale of weapons to dictatorships, human rights abusers,
and
nations engaged in acts of war against their neighbors. (Particular
attention
has been paid to weapons sales to Indonesia and Latin America)
Nuclear Disarmament Campaign
Working to abolish nuclear weapons. Our current focus on Senate
ratification
of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty and on organizing in support for
Abolition
2000. (Abolition
2000 is an international campaign by over 500 NGOs to secure a
treaty
by the year 2000 to abolish nuclear weapons in the early years of the
new
century)
